Description

Lac is a scale insect known from antiquity throughout Southeast Asia, Nepal, Bhutan, China and The Malaccans. In raw form the lac insect is encrusted with a hard resinous coating and the dye must be extracted before it can be used successfully to dye with. Extraction process included with order. Be sure to order Citric Acid as a dissolver at the rate of 3% on weight of sticklac used. Yields Chinese red, burgundy, violet.
